These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TrueSignal platform and services ("Service"). By using TrueSignal, you agree to these Terms.
TrueSignal provides a verification and data-structuring service. TrueSignal connects to your business accounting and operational systems through authenticated, read-only API connections, computes verified operating metrics from that data, and publishes those metrics as a TrustRecord — a structured, machine-readable record hosted at trustrecord.com.
The Service also includes embeddable metric badges that you may place on your website, each linking back to your TrustRecord.
TrueSignal may update or modify the Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in advance where reasonably possible.
No guarantee. Publication of a TrustRecord does not guarantee visibility, ranking, recommendation, or inclusion by any specific AI platform, search engine, or third-party system.
The Service does not guarantee increased visibility, traffic, customer acquisition, conversions, revenue, or business outcomes of any kind.
TrueSignal accesses your business data through read-only OAuth connections to your accounting and operational platforms. TrueSignal does not receive, store, or handle your system login credentials. You may disconnect any data source at any time through your dashboard or by contacting us.
TrueSignal accesses only the data necessary to compute verified operating metrics. TrueSignal cannot write to, modify, or delete data in your connected systems.
You retain full ownership of all business data you provide to or make accessible to TrueSignal ("Customer Data").
By using the Service, you grant TrueSignal a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to access, process, reproduce, transform, display, distribute, and publish Customer Data solely for the purpose of generating, maintaining, and hosting TrustRecords and related Service functionality.
You may revoke this permission at any time by canceling your subscription. Upon termination, your TrustRecord will be unpublished and Customer Data deleted from our systems, subject to reasonable retention for legal, security, or operational purposes.
Aggregated data. TrueSignal may retain and use aggregated or anonymized data derived from Customer Data for analytics, benchmarking, and product improvement, provided such data does not identify you or your business.
When you activate your TrustRecord, the metrics you choose to publish become publicly accessible at your TrustRecord URL on trustrecord.com. This data is intentionally structured to be readable by AI systems, search engines, and other automated platforms.
You control which metrics are visible on your TrustRecord. You may hide or show specific metrics at any time. Hidden metrics are not published, not included in structured data, and not available as embeddable badges.
Published metrics are computed by TrueSignal from your connected business systems. Published values cannot be edited or manipulated by the customer. TrueSignal determines the methodology for all metric calculations.
Metrics are computed based on data made available through third-party accounting and operational systems. TrueSignal relies on the accuracy and completeness of data contained within those systems and does not independently audit underlying accounting records or operational entries. TrueSignal is not responsible for inaccuracies, omissions, classification errors, or data corruption originating in third-party systems or customer inputs.
TrustRecords present structured metrics derived from connected systems for informational purposes only. While TrueSignal applies consistent methodologies to compute and display metrics, the Service may contain errors, omissions, labeling inaccuracies, processing delays, synchronization issues, or technical defects. TrueSignal does not warrant that published metrics are accurate, complete, error-free, or uninterrupted. Third parties, including AI systems, search engines, customers, competitors, media organizations, or other automated platforms, may interpret or present TrustRecord data independently and outside of TrueSignal's control. TrueSignal is not responsible for misunderstandings, interpretations, reliance, or decisions made based on published metrics.
TrueSignal provides embeddable metric badges for display on your website. Each badge displays a single verified metric and links to your full TrustRecord.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to embed badges on websites you own or operate. You may not modify badge content, remove the TrueSignal attribution, or alter the link destination. Badges must display accurate, current data as provided by TrueSignal.
If your subscription is terminated, embedded badges will cease to function.
TrueSignal is billed on a recurring annual subscription basis at the rate agreed during onboarding.
TrueSignal is not designed to process personally identifiable information ("PII") about your customers, such as personal names, home addresses, phone numbers, personal emails, or payment information. If PII is inadvertently ingested through a data connection, it is excluded from all metric calculations and publication, and handled in accordance with applicable law.
TrueSignal uses industry-standard safeguards to protect Customer Data, including encryption in transit and at rest, read-only data connections, role-based access controls, and continuous system monitoring.
While we implement reasonable security measures, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
You represent and warrant that you have the right to provide access to all business systems connected to TrueSignal and that you are authorized to grant read-only access to the data contained therein.
All data accessible through your connected systems must reflect genuine business operations. You agree not to fabricate jobs, customers, credentials, or other data for the purpose of manipulating verified metrics.
Any intentional misrepresentation or data manipulation may result in immediate termination of service and removal of your TrustRecord without refund.
You agree not to misuse the Service or attempt to disrupt its functionality.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that publication of verified metrics through TrueSignal complies with any applicable industry, licensing, advertising, or professional regulatory requirements governing your business.
TrueSignal reserves the right to conduct reasonable data integrity reviews of connected systems and to suspend, remove, or refuse publication of a TrustRecord where data authenticity or integrity is reasonably in question.
All software, schemas, formats, verification methodologies, metric calculation rules, and systems developed by TrueSignal remain the exclusive property of TrueSignal.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your internal business purposes only.
You may not resell, sublicense, scrape, or commercially exploit the Service, TrustRecords, or badge components except as expressly permitted by TrueSignal.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TrueSignal, its affiliates, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
TrueSignal verifies and publishes structured business operating data but does not endorse, rank, or recommend any customer. Any recommendations made by AI platforms or third-party systems based on TrustRecord data are controlled exclusively by those platforms and are outside of TrueSignal's control.
We strive for continuous uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. TrueSignal is not responsible for downtime or changes caused by external providers, AI platforms, infrastructure outages, or force majeure events.
TrueSignal is not responsible for changes in AI platform behavior, ranking methodologies, eligibility criteria, or recommendation logic.
The Service depends on continued availability and functionality of third-party APIs and integrations. TrueSignal is not responsible for interruptions, limitations, or changes resulting from modifications, suspensions, or discontinuations by such third parties.
The Service is provided "as is." TrueSignal is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
TrueSignal's total liability in any matter shall not exceed the fees paid to TrueSignal in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
TrueSignal is not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including internet outages, hosting failures, AI platform policy changes, labor disputes, or natural disasters.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
